Join a society of elegance and unforgettable experiences

Discover the art of connection through our exclusive events, tailored for those who appreciate joining an international society.

Our Heritage

A tradition born in 2015

Founded by Clemens van Steijn, the Tulip Society began as an intimate gathering in the Netherlands. What started as the Tulips Ball has grown into an international community across 14 countries, uniting leaders in business, diplomacy, and high society.

Guided by seven pillars — from arts and culture to entrepreneurship and philanthropy — we cultivate meaningful connections through elegant experiences.

Your questions answered

Everything you need to know about membership, events, and our community.

Membership

Membership is €40 per half year, charged annually (€80/year). This covers your membership to the Tulip Society and access to purchase tickets for all events.

The Black Tulip Society is for members aged 18–30 — a vibrant community of young, international minds. The Orange Tulip Society is for members aged 30 and above, with a particular focus on young professionals between 30 and 45. Both societies share the same values of elegance, heritage, and meaningful connection, and regularly host joint events.

Submit your application through our website. Our membership committee reviews each application individually. You'll receive a decision by email, typically within a few weeks. We look for genuine interest in our community and values — there's no single "right" profile.

After approval, you'll be contacted and your first membership fee will be deducted from the payment details you provided during your application. Once active, you'll have full access to the member area where you can browse and purchase tickets for upcoming events.

Yes, you can cancel at any time. Your membership remains active until the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

Events

Some of our events are open to non-members. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about open events. However, most events are member-exclusive.

Yes, members can typically bring guests to events. Guest tickets are available through the event page in the member area. Specific guest policies may vary by event.

It varies by event. Our galas and balls are formal (black tie or cocktail attire), while other gatherings such as Waltz & Wine evenings are semi-formal. Each event page specifies the expected dress code.

Ticket prices vary depending on the event type and venue. Prices are listed on each event page in the member area. Membership itself does not include event tickets — these are purchased separately.

Community

Each chapter is led by a local board of volunteers — typically a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. Chapters organise local events and build community in their city. We currently have chapters across Europe, the US, and Australia.

Absolutely. If there isn't a chapter in your area yet, reach out to us at info@tulip-society.com. We're always looking for passionate members to help establish new chapters.

Email us at info@tulip-society.com. We typically respond within a few business days.
