We warmly invite you to join us for an unforgettable Opera Weekend in Verona from 5 to 7 September 2025. This relaxed and culturally rich getaway takes place in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities – renowned for its Roman amphitheatre, romantic streets, fine cuisine and world-class opera.
Together, we will enjoy breathtaking performances, a countryside wine experience, and the company of a like-minded group of travellers who appreciate the good things in life.
We begin the weekend with a performance of Verdi’s powerful opera Nabucco at the iconic Arena di Verona. Known for the famous chorus Va, pensiero, this opera tells a dramatic story of exile, power and redemption in a spectacular open-air setting.

For those arriving earlier in the day, we are organising an informal welcome dinner at 18:00 at a local restaurant near the Arena. A relaxed opportunity to meet fellow participants before the performance.

At midday, we depart from central Verona for an exclusive wine experience in the Valpolicella countryside. Hosted by a passionate, family-run winery, this visit offers a unique insight into regional wine traditions and innovation.
The visit begins with a guided tour through the vineyards, grape drying rooms (used for Amarone), and aging cellars, where wines mature in barrels, barriques, raw concrete tulip tanks, and ceramic clayvers.
Following the tour, we enjoy a tasting of six iconic wines, paired witha generous selection of artisanal meats and cheeses, bread, a typical local dessert, and a tasting of Amarone Grappa.

That evening, we return to the Arena for Verdi’s Rigoletto – a gripping opera filled with love, betrayal and revenge, featuring the famous aria Ladonna è mobile.

We close the weekend with a relaxed brunch and informal walking tour through the charming streets of Verona. From Juliet’s balcony to Roman ruins and Renaissance piazzas, the city offers a rich cultural experience.

This is a flexible and relaxed weekend. Meals and additional activities will arise spontaneously. Guests may choose to explore the city on their own or enjoy time together with the group. Our goal is to make this experience as accessible as possible, while offering a rich and high-quality cultural experience.
We recommend arranging accommodation near the Arena di Verona, as all scheduled activities take place in this area.
